Yesterday Apple spilled most of the spec details for its new iPhone 12 devices, but as with previous models, it didn't reveal the RAM amounts and battery sizes of each phone. Now some of that info has come out.
The iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max both come with 6GB of RAM, while the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini have 4GB. That's according to MacRumors, who spotted the info inside plist files for Apple's Xcode 12.1 beta.
To compare, the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max all have 4GB of RAM, so this year's new Pro models are getting significant RAM upgrades.
It was already expected that the iPhone 12 series would offer performance improvements over last year's iPhones thanks to the new A14 Bionic processor. But now we know that the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max have 2GB of additional RAM over last year's Pro models, too, which could make an upgrade to the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max even more appealing for power users.
There's no word yet on the battery sizes of the new iPhone 12 models, but that info might come out when the phones launch and get torn down.
