We've seen a few Pixel 5 leaks lately, and now it seems that Google itself has accidentally leaked its new flagship phone ahead of its official reveal later this week.
The Google Japan Twitter account today tweeted that the Pixel 5 was available for pre-order and then quickly deleted it, meaning it looks like the company pulled the trigger on a planned announcement tweet a bit early (via 9to5Google). Here's the translated text of the tweet:
"Google Pixel 5, the ultimate 5G-enabled smartphone from Google, is now available for pre-order. Enjoy fast movie downloads and professional-grade photography. 5G experience with the best specs."
Google Japan also said that the Pixel 5 will be priced at ¥74,800 ($708.85 USD). To compare, the Pixel 4 starts at ¥89,980 and the Pixel 4a is ¥42,900.
The Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G will be officially announced on Wednesday, September 30, during Google's Launch Night In event. It's already been confirmed that the Pixel 4a 5G will cost $499 in the US, and rumors say that the Pixel 5 will be $699.
