The same day that Apple is hosting a big event, a product listing for an unannounced Apple device has appeared.
Best Buy today briefly listed a glass screen protector for an "iPhone SE Plus 2020". The screen protector was from Best Buy's Insignia brand and was listed at a price of $14.99. The listing has since been pulled, but the cached page can be viewed here (via Reddit).
The screen protector has a cutout at the bottom where the Touch ID home button is located on the iPhone SE. There's another cutout at the top of the screen protector for an earpiece and a front-facing camera.
Apple recently updated the iPhone SE with new internals and an iPhone 8-like design, but there's never been an iPhone SE Plus model. Considering the design of the iPhone SE, it's possible that the iPhone SE Plus could feature a design similar to the iPhone 8 Plus with a 5.5-inch display, but with an upgraded processor like the non-Plus iPhone SE.
We heard last year that Apple is working on a Plus version of the iPhone SE, but that it wouldn't launch until 2021. It seems unlikely that Best Buy would have advance info about the release of a new iPhone SE Plus, and so perhaps the retailer was just hoping for a surprise announcement today.
Would you be interested in an iPhone SE Plus with a 5.5-inch screen, Touch ID, upgraded processor, and $450 or $500 price tag?
