New T-Mobile REVVL includes 5G, triple rear cameras, and 4500mAh battery for $400

We've seen some aggressively priced 5G phones launch in recent months, giving consumers more affordable ways to access 5G for the first time rather than plunking down for an expensive flagship. And today T-Mobile launched the most low-cost 5G phone yet.

The T-Mobile REVVL 5G is now official alongside the REVVL 4+ and REVVL 4. All three phones will launch on September 4 at both T-Mo and Metro by T-Mobile, and they'll all cost $400 or less.

The REVVL 5G is the top-end model of the trio, and it'll cost $0 down and $16.67 per month for 24 months or $399.99 full retail. Moving on down the line, the REVVL 4G+ will be available for $0 down and $8 per month or $192 full retail, while the REVVL 4 will cost $0 down and $5 per month or $120 full retail.

T-Mo is also launching deals to help you get its new own-brand REVVL phones for even less. You can get the REVVL 5G for $200 off or the REVVL 4+ or REVVL 4 for free when you buy them on monthly installments. New customers just need to switch to T-Mobile while existing customers must add a new line of service.

Getting to the specs, the REVVL 5G includes a 6.53-inch FHD+ screen with a hole-punch where its 16MP selfie camera lives. There's a triple rear camera setup that includes 48MP main, 8MP ultra wide, and 5MP macro cameras, and a fingerprint reader is located on the back of the phone, too.

Inside the REVVL 5G is an octa-core Snapdragon 765 processor paired with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a 4500mAh battery, and support for 5G bands n71/n2/n66/n41/n25 plus 4G LTE bands 2/4/66/25/26/41. It runs Android 10 out of the box.

The REVVL 4G+ is packing a dual rear camera setup with 16MP and 5MP snappers, an octa-core Snapdragon 665 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. The 6.52-inch HD+ screen has a waterdrop notch with a 16MP selfie camera, and there's a rear fingerprint reader and 4000mAh battery included, too.

Rounding out the REVVL 4+'s specs is support for 4G LTE bands 2/4/5/12/25/26/41/66/71 and Android 10.

Finally, the REVVL 4 is the entry-level model of the group. It's got a 6.22-inch HD+ display with waterdrop notch for the 5MP selfie camera, plus a 13MP rear camera. There's a fingerprint reader on the back of the phone, too.

Inside the REVVL 4 is a 2.0GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6761V/CA processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 3500mAh battery. It supports 4G LTE bands 2/4/5/7/12/25/26/41/66/71 and runs Android 10.

We've seen quite a few 5G phones launch over the past year or so, but many of them have been flagship models that cost nearly $1,000 or in some cases more than that. More affordable 5G models have been launching recently, though, thanks to things like the arrival of the Snapdragon 765 chip that's in the REVVL 5G. While 5G networks are still very young, it's good to see more affordable 5G phones rolling out for those folks who want to be 5G early adopters.
