Moto G9 official with 6.5-inch screen, 5000mAh battery, and $155 price

The Motorola Moto G series has gotten a lot of praise over the years for offering great performance at affordable prices, and today Motorola has taken the wraps off of the newest Moto G model.

The Moto G9 is now official, boasting a big screen, big battery, and triple rear camera array, all for ₹11,499 ($155 USD). The front of the G9 features a 6.5-inch 1600x720 LCD screen with a waterdrop notch where the 8MP selfie cam lives.

Around back is a triple camera setup that includes a 48MP main cam that uses Quad Pixel tech to output 12MP photos with better low-light performance. There's a 2MP depth camera to help you get better portrait mode shots, too, and a 2MP macro camera for close-up photos. The back of the Moto G9 is home to a fingerprint reader, too.

Inside is a 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 662 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of built-in storage. There's a microSD card slot that'll let you add up to 512GB of additional storage. Powering the Moto G9 is a massive 5000mAh battery that Motorola says will last up to two days on a single charge, and there's 20W fast charging support to help you recharge the battery faster when it does finally run out of juice.

Other notable features of the new Moto G9 include NFC, a USB-C port for charging, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a water-repellent design. The phone comes preloaded with Android 10.

The Moto G9 is launching in India on August 31. There's no word yet on releases in other parts of the globe, but considering that the Moto G series has been very popular for Motorola, we expect that the Moto G9 will make its way to other regions.
