We've been hearing rumblings about Apple service subscription bundles for a while now, but it may finally launch later this year.
Apple One is said to be the name of new service bundles that'll launch as soon as October alongside the new iPhones. Bloomberg reports that there will be different bundle tiers, with the basic one combining Apple Music and Apple TV+. Another bundle will add Apple Arcade with Music and TV+, while a third will include Apple News+ as well and a fourth add in extra iCloud storage.
There's no word yet on how much these bundles will cost, but it's said that they'll save customers between $2 and $5 per month depending on which package you choose.
These Apple One bundles will reportedly work with Apple's Family Sharing, which allows a family of up to six people to share a single subscription.
Apple offers quite a few services and most of them face some pretty stiff competition. For example, Apple Music is going up against Spotify and Apple TV+ competes with Netflix and Disney+. These bundles could convince some consumers who are subscribed to those competitors to switch to Apple so they can save a few bucks every month.
Today's report also claims that Apple is working on a new subscription for virtual fitness classes. Codenamed "Seymour", this service will purportedly offers fitness classes that you can watch on your iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. It's said that this service will be included in one of the higher-end Apple One bundles.
Finally, Apple is said to be prepping new hardware-software combo bundles, including giving a free year of Apple Arcade to consumers who buy an Apple TV. Apple did this last year when it gave a free year of Apple TV+ to consumers who purchased a new iPhone.
