Another streaming service has announced that it's raising its price.
ESPN+ revealed today that it's increasing its price from $4.99 to $5.99 starting on August 12. This price will only apply to new ESPN+ subscribers, as existing subscribers will continue to get ESPN+ for $4.99 per month until at least August 12, 2021.
This is the first time that ESPN+ has increased its price since launching in April 2018.
While $1 isn't a huge price hike, it is still an increase to be aware of. The good news is that because the price increase isn't taking effect for another few days, folks who are interested in ESPN+ can sign up now for the lower rate and lock it in for the next year.
ESPN+ includes thousands of events from the MLB, NHL, MLS, Serie A, FA Cup, Grand Slam tennis, and college sports like football and basketball. UFC Fight Nights and pay-per-view events are available through ESPN+, too, as are ESPN+ original shows and access to the full library of ESPN 30 for 30 documentaries.
