A report last month claimed that Samsung might be planning to host its Galaxy Note 20 event in August, and now we may have an exact date for you to circle on your calendar.
Samsung is reportedly leaning toward having its Galaxy Note 20 event on August 5. That's according to Dong-A (via SamMobile), which adds that the event is likely to be held online due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Meanwhile, Samsung leaker Ice Universe has also mentioned that August 5 date as a possibility for the Note 20 event. They added a list of devices that may be announced there, including the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra, Galaxy Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+, and Galaxy Watch 2.
Samsung has announced the past couple of Galaxy Note flagships at mid-week events in early August, and so it's definitely possible that the Note 20 series will be revealed on August 5.
As for the part about it being an online event, that seems likely even though Samsung has shown that it likes its big, flashy events. August 5 is only 2 months away and that the COVID-19 pandemic is ongoing, so opting for an online event is probably the safer move.
