Just like in the analog watch world, Wear OS offers several different styles of watches made by different companies. That includes luxury smartwatches, and today another one of those premium Wear OS watches has made its debut.
The Big Bang e is a new Wear OS smartwatch from Hublot. Pricing starts at $5,200 for the Titanium version and goes up to $5,800 for the Black Ceramic model, and Hublot says that the Big Bang e will be sold online "soon".
When it comes to specs, the Big Bang e features a 1.21-inch 390x390 round AMOLED display and a Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor. There's 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage packed into the 42mm case, and NFC is also included for Google Pay support. Hublot says that the 300mAh battery will give you around 1 day of battery life.
Hublot's new Big Bang e also features Bluetooth, an Optical Tracking Sensor for the rotating crown, an ambient light sensor, and sapphire crystal on the display.
Wear OS is compatible with devices running Android 6.0 or higher as well as iPhones running iOS 12.0 and up.
The Big Bang e is definitely one of the pricier Wear OS smartwatches we've seen come to market, but Hublot is a luxury watch brand and so it's no surprise that its Wear OS watches aren't cheap. It may not be for everyone, but one of the nice things about the Wear OS platform is its variety of watch models available, and the Big Bang e helps to fill out the luxury segment of Wear OS.
