The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite made its debut last month, but at that time, Samsung wasn't forthcoming about the device's launch date or price. That's changing today.
Samsung's Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is now available. You can get the 64GB model for $349.99 direct from Samsung's website, or you can step up to the 128GB model for $429.99. Both models do include a microSD card slot if you'd like to add more storage yourself.
The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is also being sold by Amazon.
As its name suggests, this new tablet is a "Lite", more affordable version of the flagship Galaxy Tab S6 that launched last year. It retains most of the Galaxy Tab S6's features, like an included S Pen stylus and big display, but it knocks the specs back a little to achieve a lower price point.
Packed into the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is a 10.4-inch 2000x1200 display, an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP selfie cam that can also be used to unlock the tablet by scanning your face, and an S Pen that magnetically attaches to the Tab S6 Lite to help you keep track of it.
Also included are dual speakers with Dolby Atmos surround sound to make watching videos on the Tab S6 Lite better. Samsung has included a 3.5mm headphone jack, too, for the times when you need to keep your audio to yourself.
Inside the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is an octa-core Exynos 9610 processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 7040mAh battery that Samsung touts will last for up to 13 hours on a single charge. USB-C fast charging support is also included to help you refill that battery more quickly.
One other detail of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is that Samsung is running a special offer, gifting anyone who buys the device 4 months of free YouTube Premium. A subscription to YouTube Premium gets you ad-free watching, the ability to download videos for offline viewing, and more.
There aren't a ton of new Android tablets being released regularly, and so this Galaxy Tab S6 Lite offers another option for folks who are in the market for an Android-powered slate. And at $350 for the Tab S6 Lite plus a stylus, it could definitely be worth a look if you're after a more affordable tablet.
