Possible iPhone 12 series prices leak, starting at $649

We've heard lots of rumors about Apple's iPhone 12 series phones so far, including reports about their design and 5G support, but one thing we haven't heard much about is their pricing. A new report claims to have some info.

Pricing for the iPhone 12 lineup could start at $649. That's according to Front Page Tech's Jon Prosser, who says he got this pricing info from the same source who accurately leaked the launch date of the new iPhone SE.

The source says that the iPhone 12 with a 5.4-inch OLED screen, dual rear cameras, and 5G will start at $649 while the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 with OLED screen, 5G, and dual cameras will start at $749. That 6.1-inch model would be a follow-up to the current iPhone 11, which starts at $699.

The iPhone 12 Pro is expected to feature a 6.1-inch OLED screen, 5G, and a triple rear camera array with a LIDAR sensor like the one found on the new iPad Pro, and it'll reportedly start at $999. And then there's the iPhone 12 Pro Max that's rumored to feature a 6.7-inch OLED display, 5G, and triple rear camera setup with LIDAR, and it'll purportedly start at a price of $1,099.

The iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max start at $999 and $1,099, respectively.

Several rumors have said that we're getting four iPhone 12 models this year, and at a starting price of $649, the 5.4-inch model could be a compelling option for a lot of folks. Not only is that a solid price for a new 5G phone compared to some of the other 5G devices that we've seen launch lately, but a new iPhone with a 5.4-inch OLED screen could be attractive to people who want a smaller screen but also don't want to shell out for a Pro model iPhone.
