Motorola Edge+ official with 108MP camera and 5000mAh battery

Motorola has a brand new flagship Android phone, and it's launching soon.

The Motorola Edge+ is official and it's packing a 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, in-display fingerprint sensor, and curved edges. To avoid the notch, Motorola is adopting a hole-punch design with the Edge+, and that's where the phone's 25MP selfie camera lives.

Another highlight feature of the Motorola Edge+ is its triple rear camera array. Included there is a 108MP main camera that uses pixel binning tech to give you 27MP photos. That cam also features an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization.

In addition to the main camera, the Moto Edge+ features a 16MP ultra-wide camera with 117-degree field of view and f/2.2 aperture, plus an 8MP telphoto camera with 3x optical zoom, f/2.4 aperture, and OIS.

Inside the Motorola Edge+ are specs that you'd probably expect from a flagship Android phone in 2020. There's a Snapdragon 865 processor, lots of RAM (12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, to be specific), and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage.

There's a big 5000mAh battery, too, along with 18W wired and 15W wireless fast charging. The Edge+ also has reverse wireless charging, letting you use its large battery to recharge other devices in a pinch.

Other notable specs of the Motorola Edge+ include stereo speakers, a USB-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Android 10 with Motorola's My UX suite of customization tools. Oh, and there's 5G support, meaning it'll work on Verizon's mmWave 5G network that's live in parts of 34 markets as of this post. The Edge+ also supports sub-6GHz 5G, which Verizon plans to launch in the future.

The Motorola Edge+ is launching at Verizon on May 14th. Pricing will be set at $41.66 per month for 24 months or $999.99 if you'd prefer to pay full retail.

To celebrate the arrival of the Edge+, Verizon will offer up to $550 off the new device to customers who get a new line of service on select Unlimited plans and trade in an eligible device. Existing Verizon customers on select Unlimited plans can save up to $250 on an Edge+ with upgrade and eligible trade-in.

So now that it's officially official and Motorola is back in the flagship smartphone game, what do you think of the Edge+?
