Oppo Watch official as the company's first smartwatch

Oppo today took the wraps off of its first smartwatch, and it bears a bit of a resemblance to another popular wearable on the market.

The Oppo Watch is now official. It's got a square case and comes in two different sizes, 41mm and 46mm, with an aluminum case. The smaller 41mm version has a 1.6-inch AMOLED screen while the larger model has a 1.91-inch AMOLED display.

Oppo is also making a more premium 46mm model with a stainless steel case and the same 1.91-inch AMOLED display as the aluminum 46mm version.

All three models are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2500 processor paired with 1GB of RAM. There's 8GB of built-in storage along with NFC support for mobile payments. The smaller 41mm watch includes a 300mAh battery while the 46mm versions get a 430mAh battery.

The Oppo Watch includes an optical heart rate sensor so it can track your workouts, including running, cycling, and swimming, and the 41mm watch features 3ATM of water resistance while the 46mm has 5ATM of water resistance. Sleep tracking is included as well, along with cycle tracking for women.

The software on the Oppo Watch is ColorOS. It comes with several different watch faces for you to choose from, ranging from more traditional analog-style faces to digital faces that are loaded up with other information.

Finally, eSIM support is included with the Oppo Watch so you can get a cellular connection if you'd like.

The Oppo Watch is available in Chine at a price of 1499 yuan ($216 USD) for the 41mm version or 1999 yuan ($289 USD) for the 46mm version.

Oppo's watch definitely looks similar to the Apple Watch, but that's something that could appeal to some Android users. We also haven't seen a ton of new Android smartwatches come to market lately, plus the Oppo Watch's price is pretty competitive, so there could be some folks who decide to put one on their wrist.
