Oppo's Reno 3 Pro launched in India today with a total of six cameras.
The Reno 3 Pro features a quad rear camera setup with a 64MP main camera with 0.8μm pixel size and f/1.8 aperture. There's a 13MP telephoto camera with optical zoom and f/2.4 aperture, too, as well as an 8MP ultra-wide cam with f/2.2 aperture that can capture 109-degree photos and a 2MP monochrome sensor with an f/2.4 aperture.
Oppo is touting that its new Reno 3 Pro can use the main, telephoto, and ultra-wide cameras to get you 5x hybrid zoom for your photos as well as a 20x digital zoom.
Around front there are two selfie cams living inside a pill-shaped hole-punch. The main camera is a 44MP sensor and it's paired with a 2MP depth of field lens. When combined, they can get you a binocular bokeh effect that Oppo claims will get you "sharper edges and background gradients."
The display on the Oppo Reno 3 Pro is a 6.4-inch 2400x1080 Super AMOLED screen with slim bezels and a small chin. Thre's an in-display fingerprint reader near the bottom of the display that can unlock your phone in 0.34 seconds.
Oppo has packed MediaTek's new Helio P95 processor into the Reno 3 Pro. MediaTek touts that that chipset offers a 10% increase in benchmark performance compared to its previous generation model. There's 8GB of RAM inside the Reno 3 Pro, too, along with up to 256GB of built-in storage.
A 4025mAh battery is powering the Reno 3 Pro with support for VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 fast charging.
On the software side, Oppo has loaded the Reno 3 Pro with Color OS 7, its custom user interface on top of Android 10. There's a gaming-focused Hyper Boost feature included that Oppo touts will "stabilize your frame rate" and "accelerate your response time" if mobile gaming is important to you.
The Oppo Reno 3 Pro is now available for pre-order in India ahead of its March 6th launch. Pricing starts at Rs. 29,990 ($412 USD) for the 8GB/128GB model. There will also be an 8GB/256GB model priced at Rs. 32,990 ($453 USD), but that version doesn't have a launch date quite yet.
