Realme has made a name for itself offering good-looking, well-specced Android phones at aggressive prices, and today the company took the wraps off of its latest offering.
The Realme X50 Pro is now official as the company's new 5G phone. As you might expect from the "Pro" in its name, the X50 Pro is a high-end device, packing a Snapdragon 865 processor with up to 12GB of RAM. There's up to 256GB of storage available, too, but there doesn't appear to be a microSD slot available.
The quad rear camera setup includes a 64MP main snapper with a 1/1.72-inch sensor size, a 12MP telephoto camera with up to 20x hybrid zoom, an 8MP ultra-wide angle cam with 119-degree field of view, and a 2MP monochrome camera. There are two more cameras on the front of the Realme X50 Pro, including a 32MP wide angle cam with Sony IMX616 sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide snapper with 105-degree field of view.
Realme has equipped the X50 Pro with a 6.44-inch 2400x1080 Super AMOLED display that includes 90Hz refresh rate support and a 92% screen-to-body ratio. There's a fingerprint reader built into that screen, too.
A 4200mAh battery powers the whole package, and Realme says that the X50 Pro supports up to 65W SuperDark Charge fast charging speeds.
Other notable features of this new Realme hardware include a USB-C port for charging, dual speakers, Android 10 running below Realme's custom user interface, and a Vapor Cooling Pro system to help keep your phone running cool.
Realme plans to launch the X50 Pro in Europe, China, and India to start. The company isn't talking price or specific launch timing quite yet, but it told The Verge that the X50 Pro should cost between €550-600 EUR ($597-651 USD) in Spain and less in China.
The Realme X50 Pro looks pretty sharp, and we're glad to see that it's got the high-end specs to back those looks up. And while $600 isn't exactly cheap, it is a pretty aggressive price for a phone with a Snapdragon 865, 5G, six total cameras, and a large Super AMOLED screen.
