Today's the day that Google gave us our first glimpse at Android 11 via a developer preview. But what if you don't want to subject your daily driver to beta software? We've got an Android 11 timeline that includes an expected launch window, too.
Google says that there will be six beta releases of Android 11. That includes three developer previews plus three beta releases that should be a bit more stable if you do want to put it on your daily driver.
According to Google's timeline, we can expect the next two Android 11 developer previews in mid-March and mid-April. The first beta release will follow in mid-May with the second beta coming in early June and the third in early Q3 2020.
The final Android 11 release is planned for late Q3 2020.
Google released Android 10 in early September 2019, and since that could be considered early Q3, it's possible that the official Android 11 launch will happen in early September this year. Until then, we know that we'll see several more developer previews and betas, and we'll surely learn more about the new features Google has planned for Android 11, too.
Are you going to try an Android 11 beta release? If so, are you going to load one now or wait for a future beta update?
