Looking for a new Wear OS smartwatch? Suunto has a new model that might be perfect for your wrist.
The Suunto 7 is an Android-powered watch with a sports focus. There are more than 70 sports modes included, such as running and cycling and skiing, and Suunto has included exercise tracking and a special app that offers detailed training insights. You can also share your activity info with apps like Strava, Endomondo, and TrainingPeaks.
If your activities take you outdoors, the Suunto 7 comes with offline outdoor maps with built-in Suunto Heatmaps across 15 activities that'll show you the best training route even if your phone isn't with you.
And to help sure your smartwatch survives your workouts and the elements, the Suunto 7 shockproof, waterproof, and dirtproof.
When it comes to raw specs, the Suunto 7 is equipped with a round AMOLED screen with a 454x454 resolution and Gorilla Glass, NFC for Google Pay, and a Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor. It's got a stainless steel bezel and supports 24mm straps. There's GPS, Glonass, and Galileo support for navigation, too.
Finally, Suunto says its new smartwatch offers up to 12 hours of battery life in GPS tracking mode or up to 48 hours in daily usage.
The Suunto 7 will be available for pre-order starting January 6th and will launch on January 31st. Pricing is set at $499.
