Unlocked Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ now getting their Android 10 update

One day after the T-Mobile version of the Note 10 was updated to Android 10, now owners of the unlocked models are getting the update, too.

Both the unlocked Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ are getting updated to One UI 2 with Android 10. The updates weigh in at around 2GB, so be prepared for a big download when you finally get your helping of Android 10.

The update to One UI 2 with Android 10 is a big one. There are new full screen navigation gestures, improved interactions to help you more easily navigate on big screens with minimal finger movement, and smoother animations. One UI will also automatically adjust the font colors based on the light and dark areas of your wallpaper so that the words are easier to read.

Note 10 and Note 10+ owners can also expect an improved dark mode with adjustments to image, text, and colors for day and night environments, a Focus Mode in Digital Wellbeing that'll help you silence apps when you need to hunker down and focus on the task at hand, and the ability to edit the modes that appear at the bottom of the screen in the Camera app. Samsung's battery usage graph will also show more detailed info now, and you'll have access to speed and time units in the Calculator app's unit converter.

While the unlocked models of the Note 10 and Note 10+ are getting their Android 10 updates after several of the carrier versions, the unlocked phones didn't have to wait too long to get the update after their carrier counterparts. If you've got an unlocked Note 10 or Note 10+, let us know when your Android 10 update is installed!
