Most folks expect Samsung to announce the Galaxy S11 next year, but a new rumor has suggested that Samsung may go with a slightly different name.
Galaxy S20 could be the name of Samsung's next big flagship. The name was teased by Ice Universe, who has been a source of Samsung's leaks in the past. They added that "Next year is 2020, and 20 is a new beginning."
It's been widely expected that Samsung's next Galaxy S flagship would continue with the same numbering scheme that Samsung has been using to date. So far, we've gotten Galaxy S, Galaxy S II, Galaxy S III, and so on, up to the Galaxy S10 that launched earlier this year.
A change to Galaxy S20 could allow Samsung to do a couple different things. It would line the model number of the Galaxy S flagship up with the current year, which could help consumers know which model is the latest available. The Galaxy S20 name would also give Samsung a "higher number" model than some of the company's closest competitors, like the iPhone 11.
