Samsung Galaxy S10 begins getting Android 10 in the U.S.

Samsung's Galaxy S10 series has begun receiving Android 10 in the U.S.

Galaxy S10, S10+, and S10e owners on T-Mobile and Sprint are reporting today that they're getting the update to Android 10. This includes both people in Samsung's beta test as well as those who weren't beta testers. Several folks on Reddit are reporting that they've gotten the update, and TmoNews has also heard from S10 users who are now on Android 10.

People who didn't take part in Samsung's beta test can expect a large update that's more than 2GB in size, while those who were in the beta should get a smaller final update that's around 300MB. Galaxy S10 owners will be updated to version G973USQU2CSKP, Galaxy S10+ owners will get version G975USQU2CSKP, and Galaxy S10e users will get G970USQU2CSKP.

As for what's included, Galaxy S10 series owners can expect new navigation gestures and Digital Wellness features like Focus Mode, which can help quiet distractions when you need to focus on the task at hand. Samsung's One UI 2.0 has several improvements of its own, including a better dark mode with clearer app icons, adjustments to the color and text in Dark Mode for day and night environments, and improved interactions to help you navigate more comfortably on large screens with minimal finger improvement.

If you've got a Galaxy S10, S10+, or S10e and haven't gotten your update to Android 10 yet, you can check for it by launching your Settings app and selecting "Software update" followed by "Download updates manually". Let us know when you get Android 10 installed!

UPDATE: Reddit users are reporting that Verizon is now updating its Galaxy S10 phones to Android 10, too.
