Samsung's PlayGalaxy Link is a piece of software that'll let you play your PC games on your Galaxy smartphone, and this week it's available on a new handset.

Samsung says the PlayGalaxy Link is supported by the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+. It also works on Galaxy S10 series devices, and in early December 2019 it'll expand to the Galaxy Fold, Galaxy S9, Galaxy Note 9, and Galaxy A90.

If you're not familiar, PlayGalaxy Link streams your games from your PC to your phone. Because your PC is doing the heavy lifting, your phone only uses about as much battery as it would while streaming video, and it's not going to get super hot and struggle to keep up with the performance.

You can use the PlayGalaxy Link app from Samsung's Galaxy app store to connect to your PC over Wi-Fi or using a 4G or 5G cellular data connection. You can also connect a controller with a wire or over Bluetooth. You'll need to download the PlayGalaxy Link app onto your PC to get started.

Samsung says that the recommended PC specs for gaming with PlayGalaxy Link include an Intel Core i5 or higher CPU, 8GB of RAM or higher, 50GB of storage or higher, an NVIDIA GTX 1060+ or AMD Radeon RX550+, Windows 10, and 1GB of bandwidth.

PlayGalaxy Link isn't the only app out there that promises to stream your PC games to your smartphone, but if you've got a compatible Samsung smartphone, it could be worth trying the service out to game on the go. While it's technically still in beta, the service itself is free, so you won't lose anything if you want to try out playing your PC games on the go.
