Looks like that Shield TV Pro isn't the only new Android TV device that NVIDIA is cooking up.
A new NVIDIA Shield TV stick device appeared briefly on Newegg today. The device was quickly pulled from Newegg's virtual shelves, but not before some folks on Reddit were able to save images of the mystery stick and its features.
According to the product page, this NVIDIA Shield TV device features the same Tegra X1+ processor with up to 25% faster performance that's in the Shield TV Pro that leaked earlier today. It's also got Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos surround sound support, Ethernet and HDMI ports, and a microSD slot for you to expand on the built-in storage.
Other features listed for this leaked NVIDIA Shield TV stick include built-in Google Assistant for asking questions, controlling smart home devices, and more, and you can also control the Shield TV stick with a Google Home or Amazon Echo device.
This device comes with the same new remote as the NVIDIA Shield TV Pro, too, which offers motion-activated backlit buttons, a user-customizable button, and an IR blaster to control your TV.
The stick itself measures 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) long and 1.57 inches (4 cm) wide. That makes it a pretty small device, but its listed $199 CAD ($151 USD) price isn't quite as small. Because this device hasn't been officially announced by NVIDIA yet, we don't yet know how it differs from the Shield TV Pro apart from its size. Now that these two new Shield TV devices have appeared at online retailers, hopefully we'll get official announcements from NVIDIA soon.
