Call of Duty: Mobile launching on Android and iOS on October 1

Six months after its original announcement, Call of Duty: Mobile has a launch date.

Call of Duty: Mobile will be released for Android and iOS on October 1. It'll be available in all countries where Google Play and the App Store are supported, save for Mainland China, Vietnam, and Belgium.

The free-to-play game will launch with standard multiplayer modes like Team Deathmatch, Search and Destroy, and Free-For-All as well as popular CoD maps like Nuketown and Hijacked. Also available will be a battle royale mode specifically made for Call of Duty: Mobile that'll pit up to 100 players against each other in solos, duos, and four-person teams.

Also included will be in-app purchases that'll let you purchase COD Points that will likely be used for in-game items.

Call of Duty is one of the biggest gaming franchises in the world, and so the worldwide launch of Call of Duty: Mobile is a big deal. We haven't had the chance to try it for ourselves yet, but we're looking forward to seeing how the popular FPS controls on touchscreen smartphones.

Are you going to try Call of Duty: Mobile when it launches next month?
