With Apple's iMessage, iPhone owners can tell when they're chatting with another iPhone owner because the chat bubbles will be blue. If the other person isn't on iOS, the bubbles will be green. This can cause issues for some people, as they may be excluded from group chats by iPhone owners because they've got a green bubble. Now Samsung wants to help Android users respond.
Samsung has launched a Giphy page filled packed with green bubble response GIFs. Spotted by The Verge, many of the GIFs show green chat bubbles destroying blue chat bubbles or turning them green, while others try to show green bubbles as strong or rich.
The green bubble campaign doesn't stop there, though. Samsung is also sponsoring some Instagram meme pages and getting them to share pro-green bubble images and GIFs.
The whole thing is kind of strange. While it's understandable that some Android users would be frustrated or upset by being left out of a group chat just because of their choice of smartphone, some of these GIFs and Instagram posts are kinda weird. If you're an Android user who has iPhone friends are you're super proud of being a green bubble, though, you've now got lots of GIFs to help you express yourself.
