Misfit Vapor X debuts with lightweight aluminum case, discounted introductory price

One week after Fossil introduced its new Wear OS smartwatch, another Android-powered wearable has made its debut.

The Misfit Vapor X is launching today, and to celebrate its arrival, Misfit is selling the Vapor X for $199.99 for a limited time. That's a hefty discount from its normal $279.99 price.

In exchange for your hard-earned dollars, you'll get a wearable with a 1.19-inch round AMOLED screen, a Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of built-in storage, all packed into a 42mm case. Misfit says that the 300mAh battery will get you "24+ hours" of battery life, but you can get two additional days if you enable the battery saving mode.

Misfit has packed heart rate and standalone GPS sensors into the Vapor X for all your fitness-tracking needs, and NFC is included for Google Pay support. Apps like Spotify and Pandora come included with the Misfit Vapor X, and the Cardiogram app will help you track your workouts. Speaking of workouts, the Vapor X is also water resistant up to 30M, making it ok for shallow swimming.

With its lightweight aluminum alloy case, slim design, and Sport Strap+ with breathable ridges, the Misfit Vapor X looks like it could be a solid option for anyone in the market for an affordable smartwatch to track their workouts. It's especially attractive at its limited time introductory price, so if you're at all interested in having the Vapor X on your wrist, you may want to act soon.
