Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 2019 is a new Android tablet with an 8-inch screen and 5100mAh battery

Samsung is one of the only companies that's regularly launching new Android tablets anymore, and today it introduced another new model.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 2019 features an 8-inch 1280x800 TFT display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. There's 32GB of storage built-in, but if that's not enough, you can add a microSD card to give you up to 512GB of additional storage. Samsung has also included dual speakers to make watching videos more enjoyable.

Inside the new Galaxy Tab A is a quad-core 2.0GHz processor (rumored to be a Snapdragon 429), 2GB of RAM, and a 5100mAH battery that Samsung says is "long-lasting". There are 8MP rear and 2MP front cameras included, too, in case you need to snap a quick photo with your tablet. All of those features are packed into a "metallic design".

The Android 9.0-powered Galaxy Tab A also offers a "Kids Home" mode with a child-friendly UI and a "Family Share" feature that'll let you easily share schedules, notes, photos, and reminders.

To celebrate the launch of its new tablet, Samsung is offering two months of free YouTube Premium to buyers as well as a 3-month subscription to Spotify Premium.

Samsung plans to offer Wi-Fi and LTE versions of its new Galaxy Tab A. However, the company hasn't said when the tablet will launch or how much it'll cost when it does.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 2019 is an entry-level tablet that's also designed for families, so it won't appeal to everyone, but it's great to see Samsung continue to crank out Android tablets. Not many other companies are, and so for the folks who want an Android-powered tablet, they've got options like Samsung's high-end Galaxy Tab S4 and this Galaxy Tab A 8.0 2019.
