Google is making it easier for you to order food online using a delivery service.
You can now use Google Search, Maps, or the Assistant to order food using delivery services like DoorDash, Postmates, Delivery.com, slice, and ChowNow. Google says that it's adding more services, including Zuppler, soon.
To use this feature, just watch for the "Order Now" button in Google Search or Google Maps when you're searching for a restaurant or type of food. If a restaurant supports this feature, you'll be able to make your selection, view delivery or pickup times, and check out using Google Pay.
If you'd prefer using your voice rather than your fingers to order food, the Google Assistant can handle your food order. Just say something like "Hey Google, order food from [restaurant]" and you're on your way. You can also repeat a previous order by saying "Hey Google, reorder food from [restaurant]" and you'll be given a list of your previous orders to choose from.
It can be annoying to juggle multiple apps from different delivery services, and so Google's support for food delivery services in Search, Maps, and Assistant aims to make that easier. The features are starting to roll out today, so if you feel like ordering something tonight, give it a try.
