Remember the Lenovo Smart Clock? We haven't heard much about this smart alarm clock since its announcement more than four months ago, but now you can finally buy one.
The Lenovo Smart Clock is now available for pre-order for $79.99. Units will begin shipping on June 2nd.
With a 4-inch 800x480 display, the Lenovo Smart Clock is meant to be a smart replacement for the traditional alarm clock. It's got a 6W speaker and two passive radiators, and there's a button you can tap to snooze your alarm, just like a typical alarm clock.
Other features of Lenovo's Smart Clock include a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT8167S processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. It's also got a USB-A port on the back so you can plug your phone into it and a mute switch for when you want it to stop listening. The Lenovo Smart Clock also includes the Google Assistant so that you can ask about the weather, check your commute, stream music, and control smart home devices with it.
The Lenovo Smart Clock is a neat addition to the growing number of smart displays on the market. While many of the existing smart displays have big screens meant for being in the kitchen or in the center of your home, the Lenovo Smart Clock is a smaller device that's perfect for a bedside table. But because it's smarter than a regular alarm clock, you can also use it to stream some music as you fall asleep and check the weather when you wake up.
What do you think of the Lenovo Smart Clock? Are you thinking about picking one up?
