Wiko Ride launching at Boost Mobile as Wiko's first smartphone in the U.S.

Ever heard of Wiko Mobile? The company is a known player in the European smartphone market, and now it's making its U.S. debut thanks to Boost Mobile.

The Wiko Ride is launching at Boost Mobile today. Regular pricing will be set at $79.99, but Boost is currently selling it for $39.99, and for that you'll get an Android 9.0 Pie smartphone with a 5.45-inch screen, 2.0GHz quad-core processor, and 2GB of RAM. There's a 2MP selfie cam on the Wiko Ride, too, along with a 5MP rear camera.

Wiko has equipped the Ride with 16GB of built-in storage, but if that's not enough, you can add up to 32GB of additional storage with a microSD card.

More choice is always a good thing, and so it's great to see Wiko making its U.S. debut after making a name for itself in Europe. The French company says that wants to become a "significant player" in the U.S., so don't be surprised if we see Wiko's second device arrive stateside soon.
