Last year, Google rolled out an updated Wear OS user interface that had you swiping around from the home screen to get to the different parts of the OS. Now Google is improving on that UI a bit with a feature called Tiles.
Swipe left from your Wear OS home screen will get you to your Tiles. The different Tiles available include Goals, Next event, Forecast (weather), Heart rate, Headlines, and Timer. You can rearrange the Tiles by touching and holding on a Tile on your watch or touching and dragging in the Wear OS app on your phone.
Tiles will be rolling out to Wear OS smartwatches over the coming month. Google says that it plans to deploy more Tiles in the future.
Previously, swiping left from your Wear OS home screen would show you your Google Fit info. That's handy, but the introduction of these Tiles makes swiping left even more useful by adding info like your next event, news headlines, and the weather forecast and making it all more accessible. Sounds like a solid improvement to us.
