Two months after the Google Fit website shut down, Google's fitness app is making its way to a new platform.
Google Fit is now available on iOS. With it, you can track your Move Minutes and Heart Points on your iPhone or iPad, helping you to keep track of your fitness and activity throughout the day.
Google says that apps you connect to Apple Health, like Sleep Cycle and Nike Run Club, can also sync with Google Fit to help you get a full picture of your health. Plus, Google Fit can keep track of your workouts whether you've got an Apple Watch or a Wear OS smartwatch.
Many iPhone owners are probably going to rely on the Apple Watch and Apple's Health app to track their activity since they're all part of the same ecosystem. It's still nice to see Google Fit arrive on iOS, though, because more choice is always a good thing, and those folks who are using a Wear OS watch with an iPhone can now use Google Fit, too.
