Folks who recently bought a Samsung smartwatch have been having trouble actually using their new wearable.
Many users on the Samsung Community forums report that they've been unable to log in to the Galaxy Wearable app. When they try, they're presented with a blank rectangle, preventing them from doing things like downloading apps and watch faces.
The issue is affecting owners of non-Samsung phones, with users of devices like the Pixel 2, Nexus 5X, OnePlus 6T, Moto G7 Plus, and Nokia 7 Plus all chiming in with the same problem. As of this post, there are 70 pages in the thread about this issue on Samsung's forums.
What makes things worse is that the issue has apparently been going on for several days now. Thankfully, Gavin's Gadgets has been told by Samsung that it's aware of the problem and working on getting it fixed. It's unclear exactly what the issue is or when it might be resolved, but at least all of those Galaxy and Gear wearable owners know that Samsung has heard them and is working on a fix.
As an update, Samsung have confirmed to me that they are now actively working on fixing this problem as soon as possible. Good news.
