The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro will be officially revealed in less than two weeks, but as is the case with most flagship smartphones, details of Huawei's new models have leaked out ahead of their announcement.
Renders and spec details for both the Huawei P30 Pro and Huawei P30 have leaked out. According to WinFuture, the Huawei P30 Pro will boast a 6.47-inch 2340x1080 OLED screen with curved edges and a notch up top that'll house a 32MP selfie cam. Inside will be an octa-core Kirin 980 processor paired with 8GB of RAM, 128/256/512GB of storage, and a 4200mAh battery. Also rumored to be included is Nano Memory Card support, NFC, USB-C, and IP68 water resistance.
One of the most interesting details of the Huawei P30 Pro is its rear camera setup. There's a main 40MP main sensor with optical image stabilization and an f/1.6 aperture, a 20MP wide angle camera, and an 8MP snapper with hybrid zoom. Using optical magnification, advanced software, and data from the main sensor, this camera is said to offer a 10x hybrid zoom. Also included on the back of the P30 Pro is a Time of Flight sensor that'll help to collect depth data.
Meanwhile, the non-Pro P30 is rumored to be packing a 6.1-inch 2340x1080 flat OLED display. The same Kirin 980 processor found in the P30 Pro is expected to be included with the standard P30, though this model will be dropped to 6GB of RAM and have only the 128GB storage option. The regular P30 also has a notch with a 32MP selfie camera. Also of note is its 3650mAh battery, IP68 water resistance, NFC, USB-C, 3.5mm jack, and Nano Memory Card slot.
As for the regular P30's cameras, it's got a triple rear camera setup of its own, but this one is slightly different from the Pro model. There's a 40MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture but no optical image stabilization, a wide angle 16MP sensor, and an 8MP zoom camera with 5x hybrid zoom. Additionally, the standard P30 is not expected to have a Time of Flight sensor.
We'll have to wait until Huawei's March 26th event before we know for sure what features the P30 Pro and P30 will pack, but according to this leak, they could be some solid flagship smartphones. Huawei's 2018 flagships offered good camera performance, so we're looking forward to seeing what kind of photos the P30 Pro and P30 can output.
Based on this leaked info, what do you think of the Huawei P30 Pro and P30?
