Huawei has said that it plans to show a foldable 5G smartphone at MWC next week, but it looks like that device may have leaked out before then.
A new photo claims to show an advertisement for the Huawei Mate X, complete with renders of a foldable smartphone. Shared on a forum named Hupu, the image shows a foldable phone that appears to have a triple camera setup and side fingerprint reader. The ad also touts the Huawei Mate X as a "foldable 5G phone".
Huawei posted a teaser image of its upcoming foldable 5G phone earlier this month, and the hinge of this leaked Mate X does seem to line up with the device in Huawei's teaser. We don't yet know much about the Mate X's specs, but it'll be interesting to see how the device compares to the Samsung Galaxy Fold, which offers features like 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and both LTE and 5G variants.
What do you think of this leaked Huawei Mate X?
