OnePlus wants your help designing a new OxygenOS feature, but that doesn't mean the company doesn't have ideas of its own for improving OxygenOS.
OxygenOS is gaining native Google Duo video calling functionality. This means that Google Duo video calling will be integrated into OxygenOS's call logs, contacts, dial pad, and messaging. If you don't care for Duo, you'll still have access to carrier video calling options.
Duo integration will roll out with OxygenOS 9.0.12 for the OnePlus 6T and OxygenOS 9.0.4 for the OnePlus 6, 5T, and 5. It'll also eventually be available on the OnePlus 3 and 3T with the Android Pie update.
OnePlus users have always been able to install and use Google Duo if they want to, but this deeper integration means it'll be easier to conduct Duo video calls throughout OxygenOS. Do you use Google Duo for video calls?
