The Gmail apps on Android and iOS are getting a refresh.
Google today announced a new design for Gmail on mobile. The update brings a modern, Material Theme to Google's email app, ditching the red accents that the app had previously for an all-white look.
Along with the refreshed look, Google says that the new Gmail lets you view attachments without opening or scrolling through the conversation. You can now more easily switch between personal and work accounts, too, and there will now be large, red warnings when Google suspects that the message you're viewing is phishing.
Google has been rolling out this all-white Material Theme look to other desktop and mobile apps recently, including Google Contacts for Android, so it's no surprise to see the new look coming to Gmail on mobile, too. Google says that this updated Gmail will roll out to the Android and iOS apps in the coming weeks.
