Samsung has been a constant in the smartwatch game, offering up new Gear or Galaxy wearables pretty regularly over the past several years. Today details on Samsung's next big wearable thing have leaked.
New renders claim to show a new Samsung smartwatch that's codenamed "Pulse" and may eventually launch as the Galaxy Sport. The renders were posted by OnLeaks and are not official renders made by Samsung, but are renders based on factory data.
The device shown in these renders has a round face like the Samsung Galaxy Watch that launched last year. The buttons on the side are different, though, having a circular shape rather than the pill-shaped design of the buttons on the side of Galaxy Watch. There's also something centered on the back of the Galaxy Watch that could be a sensor.
Spec details for this alleged Samsung Galaxy Sport are still light, but the device will reportedly be sold in black, silver, green, and pink gold color options.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch that launched last year offered features like a round Super AMOLED display and a Tizen operating system, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see those features make it into this Galaxy Sport, too. If this is indeed a "Sport" smartwatch, don't be surprised if feature like 5ATM water resistance and heart rate tracking make the cut as well. Unfortunately, Samsung's Galaxy Watch was announced last August, so it could be awhile before we're officially introduced to this Samsung Galaxy Sport smartwatch.
What do you think of this leaked Samsung smartwatch so far?
