Huawei today shared some exciting news to help us get over the Wednesday hump.
Huawei is now pushing out its EMUI 9.0 update, which is based on Android 9 Pie. The update is rolling out globally to the following devices:
If you have one of those phones, Huawei says that you should see your EMUI 9.0 update "very soon".
In addition to the bump to Android 9 Pie, the update to EMUI 9.0 brings with it several improvements. There's "greatly improved performance", Huawei says, along with a streamlined Settings menu and UI optimizations to help improve single-handed usability. Huawei has also standardized the designs and features of EMUI to give a more visually consistent experience, added a Password Vault to store passwords locally, and rolled out digital wellbeing features to help you monitor your device usage.
It's great to see more devices being updated to Android 9 Pie, and it sounds like Huawei and Honor devices owners have a lot of new features to check out once their update arrives. If you've got one of the phones mentioned above, be on the lookout for your serving of Pie in the coming weeks!
