After rolling out to Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL owners last month, it looks like Google's Call Screen feature is now making its way to the original Pixel phones.
Pixel and Pixel XL owners say that they've begun receiving the Call Screen feature. Over on Reddit, there are several reports of Pixel and Pixel XL models getting the feature over the past couple of days. Not everyone seems to have gotten it quite yet, though, so if your Pixel or Pixel XL doesn't yet have Call Screen, give it a few days.
Call Screen is a new feature from Google that lets you use the Google Assistant to answer an incoming call. The Assistant can ask who's on the other end of a call and what they want, letting you avoid having to talk to telemarketers, scammers, or other people that you'd rather not answer a call from.
We've known that Call Screen would be coming to the Pixel and Pixel XL, too, but it's still nice to see the feature rolling out to users now. The original Pixel phones are a couple of years old now, but they're still getting software updates from Google and nifty new features like Call Screen, which helps to extend the life of the devices.
