The Google Store is launching a special offer on the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, but that's not the only way to get a nice deal on Google's flagship smartphones.
Project Fi is now offering a $799 service credit to customers who buy two Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL phones. With that credit, you could get the Pixel 3 for free, or the Pixel 3 XL for just $100. The offer will be available until November 22 at 10:00 pm PT.
There is some fine print with this deal to be aware of. Google says that one of the devices must be activated by at least one new Project Fi customer, so a new user can start a group plan or an existing Project Fi subscriber can add a new line to their group plan to qualify. The new Project Fi subscriber must port their phone number into Fi during signup. This number must be currently active and must have been active with the previous carrier since September 16.
Additionally, both devices must be activated to full Project Fi service within 30 days of device shipment. Both phones must also remain active for 60 consecutive days within 90 days of device shipment. If you meet all these requirements, Project Fi will apply the credit to your subsequent bills 75-90 days after activation. The service credits will be applied in increments toward monthly costs for services like data, calls, texts, and device protection.
Project Fi's deal does have a few requirements that you must meet in order to qualify, but if you are eligible, this is a pretty great offer. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are brand new, flagship-tier smartphones from Google, and you can get them for free via service credits with this deal. So if you've been interested in checking out Project Fi or you're already on the service but know someone who could port their number over, this deal is worth considering.
