After breaking into the smartphone market with last year's Razer Phone, Razer has confirmed that it's going to stick around and release a new model.
The Razer Phone 2 is in the works. Razer confirmed the news in a recent financial release, saying, "Razer is now focusing its resources into the development of a second generation Razer Phone". Unfortunately, Razer didn't divulge any spec or feature details of its upcoming handset.
Razer also confirmed that it's working on "accompanying software releases which will extend its software and services from PC into the mobile market."
We'll have to wait for the announcement of the Razer Phone 2 before we know what specs it'll pack, but by looking at the original Razer Phone and Razer's gaming focus, we can likely predict at least some of the Razer Phone 2's features. For example, the new Razer Phone will likely pack a flagship-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and at least 8GB of RAM is also likely since that's the amount inside the original phone. Razer crammed dual front-facing speakers into its first phone, too, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see those included in the Razer Phone 2.
