IFA 2018 is kicking off next week, and we're sure to see some new smartphones announced during the event. One company that looks ready to introduce some new hardware is BlackBerry.
BlackBerry recently posted a brief teaser to Twitter hinting at an upcoming announcement. The tweet says that it's "Almost time for a new introduction" and includes the #IFA18 hashtag. There's a video attached that offers a brief glimpse at a BlackBerry-branded device and then says "IFA Berlin 2018".

IFA 2018 kicks off on August 31st, so it may not be long before we find out what BlackBerry has in store. One possibility is the BlackBerry KEY2 LE, which leaked recently as a device that looks similar to the KEY2 but with specs that are closer to the KEYone, like a Snapdragon 636 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 3000mAh battery. That suggests that the KEY2 LE could be a more affordable version of the standard KEY2, letting folks interested in a smartphone with a physical keyboard get one for less than the KEY2's $650 asking price.
