If you're testing iOS 12 ahead of its public release, you've got a new update coming your way.
Apple is now pushing iOS 12 beta 5 to registered developers. The update is available over the air by going to Settings > General > Software Update on your iOS device or by pointing your computer's web browser at Apple's Developer Center.
The update to iOS 12 brings new features like four new Animoij — a tiger, a ghost, a koala, and a dinosaur — as well as a Memoji feature that'll let you create your own Animoji. Also included in the update are grouped notifications (shown at the top of this post) to help clean up your lock screen, Do Not Disturb improvements like the ability enable DND until you leave your location, and digital wellness features that'll tell you how much you use your phone and allow you to set app usage limits.
iOS 12 will launch to the public this fall. If you're not running the iOS 12 beta but want to get a peek at what the update has to offer, we took the plunge and loaded the beta on our iPhone X, and you can watch our hands-on video with the update right here.
Also released today is watchOS 5.0 beta 5. This update is available to developers by going into the Watch app on your iPhone and then selecting General > Software Update.
The update to watchOS 5 will be released this fall and will include new features like Walkie-Talkie push-to-talk, Activity Competitions, and auto workout detection.
