There aren't many new Android tablets coming to market anymore, but Samsung is one company that still churning the devices out with any regularity, and it looks like we'll be getting a new model soon.
Images that purportedly show the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 have leaked. The renders show what looks to be a large tablet with a thin body, rear camera with LED flash, and both Samsung and AKG branding.
Another notable detail about this Galaxy Tab S4 is its lack of a home button. The Galaxy Tab S3 featured a physical home button with a built-in fingerprint reader, but there's no button on the front of this Tab S4. In fact, there doesn't appear to be any fingerprint reader on the Tab S4 at all. Some have speculated that the Tab S4 could rely on iris scanning for its security, and while that's still very much a rumor, there do appear to be some sensors near the front-facing camera on this device.
Spec details for the Galaxy Tab S4 are rumored to include a 10.5-inch screen, Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. It's said that the device may be powered by a 7300mAh battery and come preloaded with Android 8.1 Oreo. There are allegedly 13MP rear and 8MP front cameras on the device, and rumors say that the Tab S4 may also include support for Samsung's DeX dock that let you attach a keyboard, mouse, and external display to a device.
With Samsung hosting a Galaxy Note 9 event on August 9th, it's possible that we'll see the Galaxy Tab S4 revealed on that date as well. The Tab S4 that's in these leaked images looks like a nice upgrade from the Tab S3, offering slimmed down bezels as well as an improved spec list. And considering how few new Android tablets there have been lately, this Tab S4 is shaping up to be a device that fans of Android tablets can get excited about.
