Seven years after Apple first sued Samsung, claiming that Samsung copied the iPhone and iPad, the two companies have reached a settlement.
A filing in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California has confirmed that Apple and Samsung have come to a settlement in their patent dispute. Terms of the settlement were not included in the filing.
Apple and Samsung have been trading blows in court for the past seven years. Most recently, Apple was awarded $539 million in damages as a result of its patent trial. Now it looks like the legal fight between two of the largest companies is mobile is finally coming to an end.
Neither Apple nor Samsung have offered a statement on today's settlement, but we'll be sure to update you if they do.
