There was some bad news for Essential Phone fans yesterday with the news that the device's successor has been canceled, but today Essential is sharing some good news before we head into the weekend.
Essential today released a new Android P Developer Preview for the Essential Phone. This update is build PPR1.180412.090 and includes cellular connectivity improvements as well as fixes for Bluetooth and Dark Mode.

This update is now going out over the air for Essential Phone owners on the Android P Developer Preview. If you're not on the preview yet but you'd like to give it a try, you can download and install it by going to this web page. Just keep in mind that this update may be buggy and is not intended to be daily driver material.
