Last year, Samsung launched the Galaxy S8 in an attractive Burgundy Red color option, and now the Galaxy S9 is getting the same paint job.
Samsung has announced Burgundy Red versions of the Galaxy S9 and S9+ for China. The Galaxy S9 is available with 64GB of storage for 5799 yuan ($910 USD) or 128GB of storage for 6099 yuan ($958 USD). The 128GB Galaxy S9+ will set you back 6999 yuan ($1,099 USD).
The Burgundy Red Galaxy S9 has a deep shade of red that covers both its backside and its metal frame. The front of the phone is black, just like the existing Midnight Black, Coral Blue, and Lilac Purple color options.
This red GS9 is only available in China right now, and it's unclear when or if it might launch elsewhere. The Burgundy Red Galaxy S8 that launched last year was only sold in South Korea and India, so it's possible that the Burgundy Red Galaxy S9 will have limited availability, too. Considering how good this phone looks, hopefully availability will be wider than the red GS8.
