LG G7 ThinQ confirmed to feature 6.1-inch display with a notch

LG today continued to trickle out details of the LG G7 ThinQ ahead of its official reveal on May 2.

LG has confirmed that the G7 ThinQ will feature a 6.1-inch 3120x1440 display. What's more, LG says that the screen brightness will go up to 1,000 nits, which the company claims will "[make] it the brightest and most vibrant display on the smartphone market today".

The G7 ThinQ's screen will boast a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and it's bottom bezel will be nearly 50 percent slimmer than the one found on the LG G6. Finally, screenshots shared by LG confirm that the G7 ThinQ will have a notch at the top of its display, but you will be able to hide the notch by turning the whole status bar black if you'd like.

Rounding out the LG G7 ThinQ's display features are 30 percent lower power consumption than the screen found on the LG G6 and six different screen color modes: Auto, Eco, Cinema, Sports, Game, and Expert.

LG has placed a focus on using high-quality screens in the past, so it's no surprise to see the company doing the same thing with the G7 ThinQ. The confirmation that LG will use a display notch will likely frustrate some, but at least you'll be able to hide the notch by flipping a switch in the phone's settings.
