The Huawei P20 and P20 Pro may be Huawei's star devices right now, but that doesn't mean that the company isn't prepping other phones, too.
Images that claim to show the upcoming Honor 10 have been leaked by Winfuture.de. The basic design of the device is similar to the Huawei P20, which isn't a huge surprise since Honor is a Huawei sub-brand, and there are some similar specs, too.
The Honor 10 is said to be packing a 5.84-inch 2280x1080 display with a notch up top and a chin on the bottom with a fingerprint reader. Around back there's a horizontal dual camera setup with 20MP and 24MP sensors and "AI Camera" branding, hinting at one of the features that Honor will likely highlight when the Honor 10 is made official.
The images also show that Honor is prepping a very colorful version of the Honor 10, which is sure to help it stand out from the Android crowd. For folks that'd like something a bit less ostentatious, a black version of the Honor 10 has also leaked.
Inside the Honor 10 is reportedly an octa-core Kirin 970 processor, which is the same chipset that's found in the P20 and P20 Pro. There's also 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB of 128GB of storage, but no microSD card slot. Also included in Honor 10's rumored feature set is a 3,320mAh battery and Android 8.1 running below Huawei's custom EMUI 8.1 user interface.
Finally, and perhaps most notably, the Honor 10 appears to have a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom of the device. That's one feature that the P20 and P20 Pro lack.
The Honor 10 is expected to make its official debut soon, and while we'll have to wait until then before we know how much it'll cost, it's expected that the device could be a bit cheaper than the Huawei P20 flagship by using some slightly cheaper components. If that's the case, the Honor 10 could be a compelling device, offering features similar to the Huawei P20 flagship plus the addition of a 3.5mm headphone jack, but with a more affordable price tag.
