One day after Instagram rolled out a new Focus feature that enables portrait mode on more phones, the social network has confirmed another new feature that's coming soon.
Instagram is building a new tool that'll let you download a copy of everything you've shared on the service, including photos, videos, and messages. Instagram confirmed this to TechCrunch, but it didn't reveal when it'll launch, saying only that it'll "share more details very soon when we actually launch the tool."
We'll have to wait until this export tool is released before we know more, like what quality your photos are exported at, but it's still good to hear that this tool is being worked on. With it, you can feel better about leaving Instagram if you want to because you'll be able to take your uploaded photos and videos with your. Plus, it'll be easier to move all of that stuff to another service if that's what you want to do.
Stay tuned and we'll let you know more about this upcoming Instagram export tool as we get it.
